march reflection, april mood
march
intentions:
make steps towards meeting career goals: Big month for this!! I started filling out job applications that were more related to the field I studied and I had a few people reach out to me for help with their social media.
spend time with loved ones, especially making food: Started the month off strong with this one, but slowly stopped as the month progressed.
reset goals and action steps: I kind of did this? I went over the goals I set for my 25th year and readjusted what needed to be.
reflection:
I am so thankful to work in higher education, where we have spring break. The break gave me time to work on stuff I had been putting off for months and I had the chance to reflect on what I want to do next. This month I have also been rethinking my online presence and how to use it to advance my career.
Sometimes editing my posts feels scary because I know my vulnerable moments will be out in the open. As much as I want to shut down (and I do), I also know that I must continue to do the work. A lot of the time, I have posts ready to go; it’s just hard for me to look back at them and edit them. I’ve realized how grateful I am to have pictures to look back at, and it’s something I need to start doing again, no matter how small and simple the occasion may seem. The past few months my camera roll has been full of screenshots.
It feels like I have lived three different lives this month alone. Each week brought something different, a new problem to focus on. I am glad for the first half of March, but I am glad that March is over.
Listening
If you’re friends with me on airbuds just know that I listen to whatever gets me in the mood for my writing or content creation, so if you saw me listening to white people music, it was probably my romcom playlist. (hint, hint)
Annnd I have also edited my spring playlist, sun’s out.
Reading
This month’s reads were One Day by David Nicholls, A Winter in New York by Josie Silver, and Romantic Comedy by Curtis Sittenfeld. After a few weeks of waiting for One Day to be available, I was finally able to read it. The beginning was a bit slow, but I could not put it down once I got past the first few chapters. The other two were cute to read, and I can totally imagine A Winter in New York being a movie.

Moodboards, cute clothes, and my Virgo self may have started planning for my 26th already.
Mood
The fact that the further I could plan up to is April 2024 for the past couple of years is scary. I’m excited for change, but I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a bit scared. The whole settling into new routines may take some getting used to, but I am excited for once we have settled. Bryan’s last semester of undergrad coming to an end, and plans of moving have begun. I am looking forward to continue building my portfolio and helping my friends.
